EX LIBRIS is THE overshirt we’ve been dreaming of at Maison Fauve. Super comfortable, beautifully cut, and finished with those distinctive design details that make it unmistakably Maison Fauve : softly rounded, 70s-inspired pockets, echoed in the curved hemline for a silhouette that feels both relaxed and beautifully considered. And the best part? EX LIBRIS works in so many different fabrics, so you can completely transform the look depending on the finish you’re after. We’re already dreaming up all the different versions we want to sew at the Maison Fauve studio!
UK sizes 6–24 (FR 34–52), drafted for a height of 165 cm (5’5”). The finished garment measurement chart is available in the product photos.
Sewing level: INTERMEDIATE. The main technical points are attaching the collar, constructing the pockets, achieving precise topstitching, sewing a two-piece sleeve and attaching the cuff.
The margins of seams are included and are 1cm.

Supplies
fabric for a width of 140cm:
UK 6–16 (FR 34–44) 190 cm
UK 18–24 (FR 46–52) 220 cm
-40 cm of lining for the pocket bags
-7 buttons, approximately 15 mm in diameter
-80 cm of fusible interfacing
Fabric Choice: Medium-weight fabrics between 200 and 350 g/m², depending on the look you want to achieve – from a soft, relaxed overshirt to a more structured transitional jacket. Suitable fabrics include dupion, heavier flannel, jacquard, gabardine, denim and faux suede. This garment is designed to be unlined.
